Experiences

I have had the honor and pleasure to experience so many empowering and inspirational events throughout my life.  After leaving the Navy, I felt a sense of loss in that I was not sure who I was outside of the military.  It was my experiences through jobs and volunteering that brought me to the realization that I wanted to help people in whatever manner I could.

I started TPRS, LLC., a company built specifically for my ex-husband to build a reputation and alternatively, a therapeutic approach to empowerment, confidence, and a method of creativity so he could continue his passion after he was injured in service.

Jumping for a Purpose was by far my favorite event.  It combined my love for empowering wounded servicemen and women through skydiving.

When my ex-husband was well enough to be independent, I finally was able to focus on myself and my education.  I enrolled at Old Dominion University, and through the Science Department, became a tutor for Psychology.  That experience has been the most enriching and life-fulfilling I have had yet!

Experience is the hardest kind of teacher.  It gives you the test first, and the lesson afterward.

Jumping for a Purpose

Wounded Warrior Coalition

2011 - 2019

Focused on empowering wounded service men and women by celebrating them through skydiving.  I was the event coordinator for the skydiving aspect of the event for nine separate events over the course of 8 years.  My work spearheaded the ability of wounded warriors to jump into the Patriotic Festival on Virginia Beach.

Donation

Toys for Tots

2016

Pulled together a group of skydivers to jump into a children's event where the children were flying model planes and kites.  Skydivers jumped into the event to surprise the kids and then we dropped off toys for the Toys for Tots drive and Santa Clause showed up to thank us for helping "deliver" his gifts for the children.

Toast to the Heroes

2014

A black tie event where wounded men and women of the armed forces gathered to recognize their sacrifices and pay honor to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.  Fundraising event to support further aid to those dealing with PTSD and TBI injuries in an effort to raise awareness and provide much needed support to end the 22 a Day.
