One of my tutees sent me a birthday gift with a sweet message for supporting her during her sessions with me.

Tutoring

I worked late nights with Ms. Ashley pictured here.  She struggled with PSYC 317 for several semesters.  After our sessions, she was able to pass the class, and I was invited as a guest of honor at her graduation celebration with her family.

My experiences in Video

Video Links to events I volunteered for, participated in, and helped to bring from a concept to a reality in support of so many others.

Jumping for a Purpose 2013

As the Event Coordinator for Skydive Suffolk, it was my responsibility and honor to help with organizing this program for Wounded Wear / Combat Wounded Coalition based in Hampton Roads.  My husband can be seen throughout this video skydiving with many of the wounded warriors.  This was the second largest event we ever coordinated, and took 4 months to plan.

Jumping for a Purpose 2014

This year was the year I helped convince the City of Virginia Beach that we could skydive onto the oceanfront.  It was also the day that my team broke the record for the greatest number of people to skydive in one day at the drop zone.  We jumped 98 people in less than 12 hours.  I coordinated two events from one location at two different times.  This was the largest event I ever coordinated, and it took me 6 months to fully plan.

Toast to the Heroes 2014

My husband and I were invited to the Toast to the Heroes Event in 2014, as he was a Wounded Warrior honored at the event, and I was invited as a thank you for all the work I did to make Jumping for a Purpose since it began many years ago.

I was honored and humbled to be a part of something so special, and will remember this experience for many years to come.
